10-6-07 Ala v Houston, LSU v Fla livebloggin

Holy Crap! we jumped on Houston 23-0 in the first quarter like a runaway truck, then tried to drive it off in the ditch.

Lucky for us , our defense can play a little bit and got 2 ints to save the offenses ass, once again.

We are in some trouble if we dont get our shit straight, I promise ya.

Onto Fla and Lsu…. Florida came right out, and punched the Werewolfs right in their chainsaw dicks… the SEC is just like that Snl Digital Short….Letter to my sister…. we just keep shootin each other and wiping each others BCS dreams away..and  now its 24-14 and Stanford has beaten USC!!!!
Holy muther of sweet baby Jesus…….if Fla can pull this off….looks like they will be playing damn Ohio State again!!!!

Got Nick? We do. This is why we spent all the cash on St. Nick

Stop that damn RB!

Nick Saban tells his defense: “Stop that *$&%&  #5 from scoring!” during the ALA-ARK game.

Spurrier credits LSU success to Saban:

Steve Spurrier said he was not taking a dig at LSU coach Les Miles last week when he kept crediting former LSU coach Nick Saban for the Tigers’ recent successes. “I didn’t say anything negatively about Les and his coaches or anything,” Spurrier said on a teleconference. “I just said Nick Saban came in there and did a good job of fundraising for facilities improvement to get them at the level they are right now, which is true.” Spurrier added that he recently heard that 17 of LSU’s starters were signed by Saban. Actually, 19 players who have started for LSU this season were signed by Saban. Glen Guilbeau — Gannett News Services –  There you have it. So when someone ask me” I don’t know why Alabama spent all that money on a Coach…..well, have you seen the monsters that play for LSU? If Saban had coached them last year and this year, he would have 3 BCS championships since 2000. And the last 2 would have been back to back. So go ahead, make fun of “the process” and his workaholic attitude, he has an eye for talent and a knack for winning. And the facts don’t lie.

Going into this game with FSU, there are all types of intertwining story lines between the 2 schools. Bobby Bowden wanted to coach at Alabama, but we decided to hire Bill”I cant beat AU” Curry . Kevin Steele was a coach at FSU, Jimbo Fisher was Nicks right hand man at LSU. Case in point:

What Bowden knew was that on Jan.3, the University of Alabama had hired Nick Saban to be its head coach. What Bowden also knew was that Saban shared his affinity for having a defensive specialist, and that hiring Steele was a powerful way to start a staff.

Saban did exactly that, and Steele is the defensive coordinator for No.22 Alabama (3-1), which plays Florida State (2-1) on Saturday.

Steele’s return against his former team is one of the game’s pertinent story lines, though he wishes it wasn’t. He’s declined all interview requests this week.

But in an August conversation with The Birmingham News, Steele called Bowden “an amazing human being” and described leaving Tallahassee as “the hardest thing I’ve ever done coaching.”   So this game will have a bit of emotion on all sides of the ball. A former Nick Saban offensive protege’ vs a Bobby Bowden defensive protege’… should be a good matchup that goes down to the wire again. I hope we can put them away before that happens.

T-minus one day til the Massacre @ Jacksonville-I hate Seminoles Edition

SquirrelsWell so far tonight we have WVU and their “Squirrel Running back Trio” vs South Fla’s team of D-1 non qualifiers-that-ended-up there because of lax entrance requirements.

My guess will be that WV will win since they have more talent and can spread the field and  basically score at will. USF will have to rely on a more stable physical attack, I just dont know if they can keep pace with WVU’s squirrel quick stable of warp speed athletes.

Next, Auburn goes to the Swamp to try and tame the Gators. Good luck with that. A certain DT said that he would club Tebow with his new cast. I am sure Tebow will simply rip off the dudes arm while he runs by him, then cold clock him with it. Dude is 4 Real.tim_tebow.jpg

On the other hand, AU’s QB Cox, is not for real. He just sux, plain and simple, plus he plays for Auburn. I hope Florida just annihilates them. Tebow left, Tebow right. TD x 4.

Did I mention I *&** hate M#$#$F**&n’  Auburn?

Not to get sidetracked, I have to hate FSU this week.  Jimbo Fisher had a chance to remake history, but decided to take the FSU job . Well Jimbo, get ready to feel the pain.

Now he is working for the 2nd oldest living human being- the great Bobby Bowden.fsu-old-man.jpg

Roll Tide….Beat FSU!

saban-victory.jpgThis will be another test to see if we have what it takes to bounce back and win on the road. Saban assures us that we have a plan, a process, procedures, rules, laws, amendments,  hypothesis, theorems, and policies that are in place just in case a subsection of anything mentioned above doesnt work out, or PLAN B. I haven’t really followed Florida State since they started getting dominated by Florida and still haven’t learned their lesson and haven’t picked up a kicker with any talent. Hopefully our gameplan will keep it so far apart that the kickers will not be a factor.

JPW is turning into Rex Grossman

Hopefully we can breathe fire on the ‘NolesHopefully we can breathe fire on the ‘Nolesjpwgrossman.jpg

Watching the Ala vs Ga game, it became abundantly clear to me that JPW is slowly but surely morphing into Rex Grossman and headed for the pine. In big games, you have to make plays and there were a few plays that would have kept the momentum going or even scored a few TD’s, but instead he overthrew them or simply one-hopped it behind the receiver. Our defense is very young and thin, but very good at the same time, but really cannot be on the field for any length of time. They bailed out the offense more than one occasion and even the special teams and kept the game from getting out of hand.Dawgs bite the Tide  Terry Grant is scary fast. He cranked off close to 70 yrds on like 11 carries, just is a lil small for a everydown kind of back.  We get to go to Jax and see if we can send Bobby to the Retirement home early. I hope we can beat them down enough where Ol Bowden will go to bed earlier than his 6pm bedtime. Bobby Bowden is 176 yrs old today.

In the old days, Bowden would attempt to look busy during games. Now he doesn’t even bother trying to fake it.

“I’ve got nothing more to prove. I don’t need to act like a hero or something,” said Bowden. “I’ve accomplished just about everything I wanted to. Now it’s Bobby time. I’m going to sit back and enjoy the fruits of my labor. And if anything goes wrong, I’ll gather my assistants in my office, sit them down and say ‘fix it.’ If they don’t, I can always hire someone else. That, my friends, is called delegating.”   Well said…..hope you have some more assistants on speed dial..
